IEEE-CS (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Computer Society ) -- pronounced "EYE triple E- CA" -- is the IEEE society created to promote computer-related research and to disseminate technical information and standards to computing professionals around the world. Founded in 1946, IEEE-CS is the largest of IEEE's 40 societies.
