Pray over Internet Protocol

Pray over Internet Protocol (PoIP) is an Israel-based corporation that runs a Web site and forum allowing Jews and Christians worldwide to have their prayers heard in the Holy Land. The service also allows users to make "virtual visits" to various locations.

Users of PoIP record prayers in their own voice using special phone cards sold for a few dollars. The prayers are transmitted by means of voice over IP ( VoIP , also known as Internet telephone) to selected locations. PoIP has equipment at the Western Wall, the Sea of Galilee, the Basilica of the Annunciation and several other holy sites in Israel. Visitors to the PoIP Web site can not only send prayers to these places but can watch live video streams through Web cam s on location.
