A Symphony of Lights

A Symphony of Lights is a multimedia event in Hong Kong featuring a spectacular lighting display synchronized to orchestral music. The display encompasses 44 buildings on both sides of the city's Victoria Harbour. The event has been certified by Guiness as the world's largest permanent light and music show.

The show includes architectural lighting, LED fixtures, searchlights, high powered lasers, floodlights, fibre optics, fountains, aqua screens, large format projection, pyrotechnics and surround sound. The control systems were engineered by Laservision, an Australian firm that manufactures a proprietary "digital data pump." The digital data pumps are installed in participating building's wiring systems. A laptop with a touch screen is used to synchronize the digital data pumps and bring disparate elements of the show together.
