FlockFlock is an open source Web browser with advanced features, based on the Firefox code and released for preview in October 2005 by a group of developers in Palo Alto, California. Flock was developed to facilitate the development of Web 2.0 , described as the next generation of the Internet, and Web 2.0 phenomena such as blogging , vlogging , social bookmarking , podcasting and RSS . Bart Decrem, a member of the team of Flock developers, is known for his work with the Mozilla Foundation. He emphasizes that Flock is intended to leverage open source technology and exist in a synergistic relationship with, not apart from or in competition with, its parent browser Firefox.
