Dot-green is a shorthand way of describing the green computing movement that includes both hype and real innovation. The dot-green movement can be considered to be a reflection of the model presented by dotcom boom, with the same bubble of speculators profiting from buzz over green computing investments or technologies. greenwashing is an increasing issue as consumers and businesses try to determine which businesses are actually following green operating or manufacturing practices.
