CDF File Format
Microsoft Channel Definition Format
CDF is a file extension for the Microsoft Channel Definition Format. The Channel Definition Format was an application of Extensible Markup Langugage (XML) that Microsoft proposed as a standard way to describe a Web site channel, consisting of a website or group of sites. A CDF file identifies the page and subpages a user sees after selecting a channel on the browser. Channels were removed from Internet Explorer in version 7. The CDF file extension is also associated with Netcdf graphic files. Learn more about CDF files: See questions and answers about Internet Explorer on IT Knowledge Exchange.
