GHS File Format
Symantec ghost segment file (automatically spanning files over 2 GB in size)

GHS is a file extension for a spanned segment ghost file format used by Symantec's Norton Ghost. GHS files are created automatically when a clone (copy) of the entire contents of a disk is over 2 GB in size and Ghost begins spanning files or when it’s set to span the files, often for storage on smaller media. See the related format GHO for the unspanned version of the file. See also: ghost imaging Learn more about GHS files: Get answers about ghost at IT Knowledge Exchange.
