ODC File Format
OpenDocument Chart
The ODC file extension is used by two software suites that handle word processing, spreadsheets, and similar functions: Sun Microsystems’ OpenOffice and Microsoft Office. ODC stands for OpenDocument Chart. In OpenOffice, ODC is an open, XML-based format for storing data used in charts, such as dimensions, plot area, axis information, and so forth. It uses the OpenDocument standard established by OASIS (Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards). In Microsoft Office, ODC files handle database connections and store data source information, such as the name of the server, connection details, and so forth. The ODC extension is also used with query files that allow users to share database queries with other users. MIME type: application/vnd.oasis.opendocument.chart, application/x-vnd.oasis.opendocument.chart Learn more about ODC files: View questions and answers about working with OpenOffice.
