I published a conference paper [Kunkel JG, L-Y Lin, Y Xu, AMM Prado, JA Feijo, PP Hwang and PK Hepler. (2001). The strategic use of Good buffers to measure proton gradients about growing pollen tubes. In Cell Biology of Plant and Fungal Tip Growth (A Geitman, Ed.), pp. 14pp. IOS Press, Amsterdam.] in which I used a c3d plugin to measure the biggest radius of small organic buffer molecules which used a browser plugin to estimate the distance. That radius is essentially the Stokes radius of the molecule which is related to the diffusion coeficient which is often not determined for a molecule. I basically would like a 'near-free' program that will allow that or format of that file type so I can do it myself. I would rather not have to buy ChemDraw or another expensive software package for this simple measurement. I have c3d files for most of the Good buffers and if I knew the file format I could probably draw the molecule using it and write files for other molecules of interest
