CC is a file extension for a source code file used with the C++ programming language. CC files contain the source code for a program, which may be stand-alone or referenced by another program.. CC files can be opened by a text editor, though they are not easily readable. CC files can be opened and edited in Microsoft Visual Studio, Apple's XCode and GNU eMacs, as all offer syntax highlighting.
