Macromedia Director Shockwave cast file
CCT is a file extension for a cast file used with Macromedia Director. Macromedia Director is a multimedia authoring tool used to create content for CDs, DVDs and kiosks.
CCT stands for Compressed CasT. CCT files contain data used by Macromedia Director. CCT files can’t be opened or edited directly, but are used by Macromedia Director during the authoring of content. The format formerly used the CXT file extension.
Adobe acquired Macromedia in 2005.
