CMX is a file extension for a graphics file used with Corel software. CMX stands for Corel Metafile eXchange. CMX files contain vector graphics as well as metadata that describes the image. CMS files are used for storing Corel Clip Art. CMX files can be opened by CorelDraw, Corel Presentations, Paint Shop Pro and some versions of Adobe Illustrator.
