Telnet and Windows configuration file
CNF is a file extension for a configuration file format used by Telnet, Windows and other applications with varying internal formats.
Telnet is a user command and an underlying TCP/IP protocol for accessing remote computers. Through Telnet, an administrator or another user can access someone else's computer. CNF files store connection-related information for Telnet like server names, user names, passwords and serve as a shortcut for often-used Telnet connections.
