I am a working Dvj in Lao P.D.R. and because of where I live, certain technologies are unavailable or very costly. This has led me to constant searching for alternative format and codec options for my insanely large files ( I only use Resolume Arena 5.0.4. and the DXV3 Codec. If you are not familiar with it, it is simply amazing). It allows for all video files with the compression to bypass the cpu and instead be solely rendered on the GPU, which has allowed me to blend upwards of 19 layers of video. (using windows 7, acer, 8gb ram etc etc) Not an impressive setup but it looks like it is when I perform due to the DXV3. However, after "compression" a video file of, say, 50mb at 2:00 will on average become about 500mb (As .mov with DXV3 codec). So, I dont remember where I heard about mp2, probably another Dj around here, but anything that could be close to .wav but smaller would be a godsend. Thanks for your time, but it doesnt look like mp2 is what im looking for :)
