Database file (Microsoft Project)
MPD is a file extension for a database file format used by Microsoft Project project management software. MPD files store the entirety of the data for a given project in a relational database format.
Microsoft Project offers tools for more efficient project management and can be used in a variety of industries including construction, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, government, retail, financial services and health care.
Since 2007, Microsoft Project no longer saves in this format but can still read it.
