P65 is a file extension for a document file created by Adobe PageMaker 6.5. P65 stands for Pagemaker 6.5. P65 files contain page layout, formatted document text and images used with Desktop Publishing. 

P65 files are commonly used to create magazines, newpapers, flyers, etc. P65 files can be opened by Adobe PageMaker 6.5 and 7.  P65 files can also be opened by Adobe InDesign, which is Adobe's replacement for PageMaker.
