I got a cd/dvd from library by Family Tree Maker from Genealogical Publishing Inc, "The Complete Book of Emigrants, 1607-1776 & Emigrants in Bondage, 1614-1775", CD # 350, V350_01. It would not boot up but had some files of data of various file extensions, one of which was .qlf. Upon examination qlf appears to be associated w/Family Tree Maker. But my PC not open these files and the CD not have any text files to tell me about this. So I searched around to find out what I needed to open....and found myself being directed to file extensions.org which in turn "tried" to get me to Pareto Logic. I had a terrible time with Pareto Logic in the past so I closed out, and removed File Extensions.org stuff off of my PC before getting roped into another bad experience w/Pareto Logic. I'm now going to check with CNET instead to find something more reputable to open my file extension problem.
