SAVE File Format

Temp file for Unix nano text editor

SAVE is a temporary file saved by the Unix nano text editor when the program receives a SIGHUP or SIGTERM message or when the program runs out of memory. It is saved in the current directory and if the file is not yet named will be named “nano.save” by default.
