Data file for SpeedTreeCAD

The SPT file extension is associated with computer-aided design (CAD) files for Interactive Data Vision. The file type is specified as SpeedTree Tree Data File.

SpeedTree is a toolkit used to create 3D vegetation for games, films, and animations. An SPT file contains SpeedTreeCAD procedural tree data and information for the construction of the tree geometry, LOD implementation, wind animation, and cloning.

3D modeling programs that have the SpeedTreeMAX or SpeedTreeMAYA plugins installed, such as IDV SpeedTree CAD, AutoDesk 3ds Max 2011 and AutoDesk Maya 2011, can open SPT files.
