TEX File Format

TEX text file (Scientific Word)

TEX is a file extension for a LaTex typesetting file format used by Scientific Word and other scientific word processors. Scientific Word is a scientific and mathematical word processor from MacKichan Software. LaT E X is a programming language that is used for typesetting technical data.

LaTex TEX files are used in the fields of computer science electrical engineering and physics. TEX files can contain text, mathematical symbols, mathematical expressions and graphics.

LaTex files can also have a LATEX file extension.

The TEX file extension is also used for texture files and Idealist datasheet files.

MIME type: application/x-tex, application/x-latex, text/plain
