Add-in file (Microsoft Excel)
XLA is a file extension for a plug-in file used by Microsoft Excel. XLA stands for eXceL Add-in. XLA files are written using VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) and can be developed by Microsoft, third party companies, or by the user. VBA support is integrated into many Microsoft applications. XLA files can be added to Excel by selecting “Add-ins” from the Tools menu from within Excel.
