There's no place like home -- once you've set this up, wherever you are on the Web and whenever you need to look up a new word, you can just click on "Home" on your browser's tool bar and you'll come back to Whatis.com.

In Internet Explorer (5 and later versions): Go to "Tools," select "Internet Options." In the window that opens, on the "General" tab, at the top of the page, under "Home Page," enter http://whatis.techtarget.com/ after "Address:." Click "OK" and you're done.

In Netscape (4 and later versions): Go to "Edit," and select "Preferences." In the middle of the window, under "Home Page," enter http://whatis.techtarget.com/ after "Location:." Click "OK" and you're done.

In earlier browser versions:

Internet Explorer 4: Select the "View" (IE 4) pulldown menu, then "Internet Options," and then, for "Home page," enter in the address space:
