Apps-on-tap (short for "applications on tap") is computer industry jargon for application program s or other services (Hewlett-Packard calls them e-services ) that are available online for businesses or consumers. ("On tap" is an idiomatic expression for "available.") The businesses that furnish apps-on-tap are called application service provider s. The use of apps-on-tap is a form of outsourcing .
