hub transport server (HT server)

Hub transport server is an Exchange Server 2010 role that applies transport rules, journal rules and delivers mail to Exchange users.

Introduced in Exchange Server 2007, the hub transport server role was discontinued in Exchange Server 2013, but its functionality has been rolled into the Exchange 2013 mailbox server role.
