Microsoft Audio Video Interleaved file for Windows movie

An AVI (Audio Video Interleaved) file is a sound and motion picture file that conforms to the Microsoft Windows Resource Interchange File Format (RIFF) specification.

An AVI container file contains an audio and a video stream in any number of codecs. .AVI is the one of the most common video formats for Windows operating systems.
