BASIC language source file

B is a programming file format used for BASIC language source files. B files are written in BASIC (Beginner’s All-purpose Symbolic Instructions Code), which is a programming language developed in the 1960s to aid students writing computer programs. BASIC is now a commonly used language, know for its simplicity and influence on other programming languages.

B files can be opened using any program that reads BASIC programming language, such as Microsoft Visual Basic on Windows, and REAL software on Macs. B files are similar to .BAS files, which also hold BASIC programming information.
