CDA File Format

CD Audio Track

CDA is a file extension for a CD Audio shortcut file format. Used by Microsoft Windows to refer to audio tracks on a CD, a CDA file doesn’t contain audio but is simply a shortcut to the tracks on an audio disc.

Looking at Storage in Settings on Nexus 7 2012 tablet. Under miscellaneous there are some .CDA files. I looked it up to ascertain whether I can clear them. No wiser about that tho'. AlanB

What is the value of a CDA extension to an average computer user like me who uses the MP3 audio format? I find it annoying since that means I must load yet another conversion software to make CDA files useable.
