QBB File Format

QuickBooks backup file

QBB is a file extension for a backup file format used by Intuit Inc’s Quickbooks. Quickbooks is a set of software solutions designed to manage payroll, inventory, sales and other needs of a small business. QBB files are backups of QBW files which store a companies financial records, templates, logos, letters and images.

All that is required to use a QBB file is to save the file and change the file extension to QBW, which is a spreadsheet format.

I am trying to restore a backed up copy of my quickbooks program .QBB, but the program is all of a sudden telling me I am not authorized to do so. What is wrong?
